This image was shot during a campaign for forward This image was shot during a campaign for forward thinking charter school Global Leadership Academy (GLA), a unique set of schools positioned in West and Southwest Philly that offer so much toward, well, Global Leadership. Just one of the many classes that examplies this is the opportunity to learn Mandarin and then eventually visit China. I was so impressed with the program and the energy behind it. Learning through real world scenarios is one of the fastest ways to learn. I'm sure everyone is looking forward to a time when we can all travel safely again.

I can't imagine learning remotely/virtually as a c I can't imagine learning remotely/virtually as a child. The focus and discipline, even as a teenager, may have been beyond me. I learned more from my interactions and happenstance conversations than I did in the classroom. I have a hunch I'm not the only one. How would you have coped?

My wife is a kindergarten teacher and I have witne My wife is a kindergarten teacher and I have witnessed how much work, preparation and education has gone into the in person teaching of little ones. The time commitment has been staggering but the motivation of keeping them safe and her innate sense of nurturing keeps her going. I know we are both looking forward to when kids can interact like kids again! Cheers to the teachers!

*The kids are coincidentally social distancing :)
